They didn't understand that once love, the deliria, blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens recieve the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she'll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy. But with ninety- five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.</span><br /><span style="color:#330000;">Review:</span><br /><span style="color:#330000;">This book definately deserved a 5 out of 5. I have heard so much of how beautiful Lauren Oliver's writing is, but I have never been able to put my opinion in since I have never read any of her books. I have to say that I agree 100%. Her words are phenominally woven with breath-taking characters and a strong plot. This book ended with me being mad, and I was as confused as Lena at the end. I AM so glad that there is going to be another book coming out, the only bad thing is that it isn't coming out till next year. I know I will certainly stick up for the author and this book because they both are great.</span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-70724690923297089832011-02-19T20:57:00.006-06:002011-02-24T20:22:41.099-06:00Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-MFV-nehNWOd8O6mZScak3l8GRHtF4WhxUdjhUhZSFQ02sXilxtdNjHq8Q2pSHaiCKrnwuA5fr-0SmznjQ9CGf7GuWfHupnJ6yE-0DgP54lftEJvW03ROadEnDv91b9AC-mrFeuuSe28/s1600/hi"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 196px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575601007768620018" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-MFV-nehNWOd8O6mZScak3l8GRHtF4WhxUdjhUhZSFQ02sXilxtdNjHq8Q2pSHaiCKrnwuA5fr-0SmznjQ9CGf7GuWfHupnJ6yE-0DgP54lftEJvW03ROadEnDv91b9AC-mrFeuuSe28/s320/hi" /></a><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;">Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness</span><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"></span><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;">Published September 28, 2010</span><br /><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"></span><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;">Publisher Candlewick Press</span><br /><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"></span><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;">4 out of 5 stars</span><br /><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;">Source: Christmas present</span><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"></span><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;">Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads;</span><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;">"War," says the Mayor. I know scoff at them too for being a spoiler and a person who cannot get the facts right. Oh, how I love Todd. Hey is just what makes the Chaos Walking triology pretty awesome along with the Mayor and his twisted mind. This book was really, really awesome! The ending makes me respect and want to give Patrick Ness a round of applause. The ending was an ending that was mostly definite and leaving it up to your imagination. I just want to say that the review that I read with the spoiler makes me wonder if that person even read the book because Patrick Ness gives you doses all along with the story so you know what is happening with Todd at the end, and Patrick does make sure that you do know what will happen beyond the last page. I do RECOMMEND this book to everyone. IT IS THE BOMB!!</span><br /><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"></span><br /><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"><br /></span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-62622458215277152492011-02-17T21:11:00.002-06:002011-02-17T21:17:40.399-06:00UM . . .Hello, everyone. This is just a post of randomness. I wanted to tell you that sometime this weekend probally you should expect two reviews to come up which are Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness and Delirium by Lauren Oliver. They both were super duper good books.<br />I have a question for you. Would you like for me to start doing videos also like of my bookshelf and exc. ? If I actually get good response on the questen then I will start posting videos on here first, and if all goes well I will then make a Youtube and do reviews and stuff on there also. I guess that is it. I hope that everyone is having a great week and will have an awesome weekend!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-50829347497398912102011-02-13T13:46:00.003-06:002011-02-13T14:15:22.111-06:00Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqIWXcB-ovkM7up94lMhMx9GltXEvgjLOMv9CHh0mbhBk8qhQFb9-XINfBjV9R2B4OpXKXfxmFJkSU3Xz0aymGIuBaBYM9Es6iLbqwXmmgePLG94-nuGTYjxRoxex0HZkszBD9Yj9VfFE/s1600/6357708.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 213px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573263617103412018" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqIWXcB-ovkM7up94lMhMx9GltXEvgjLOMv9CHh0mbhBk8qhQFb9-XINfBjV9R2B4OpXKXfxmFJkSU3Xz0aymGIuBaBYM9Es6iLbqwXmmgePLG94-nuGTYjxRoxex0HZkszBD9Yj9VfFE/s320/6357708.jpg" /></a><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce</span></div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Published:June 7, 2010</span></div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Publisher:Little, Brown Books for Young Readers</span></div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Source:Bought</span></div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">4 out of 5</span></div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads:</span></div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Scarlett March lives to hunt the Fenris - the werewolves that took her eye when she was defending her sister Rosie from a brutal attack. This book I think did not live up to my very high expectations. Those expectations came from me watching Jackson Pearce's Youtube videos. I do not know why this book did not meet those expectations of mine, but some reason it just didn't. That doesn' mean that is wasn't a book that was cute and unique in it's way. I loved how Scarlett was so focused on making the world safer for those who weren't aware of the Fenris. I also loved how she gave the werewolves a name, Fenris. I think that it was very cool how all of the Fenris were all a certain kind of person. I have to say that I very much did not like the end of the book because of what Rosie did. I do recommend if you like twists on fairytales and killing of Fenris. :)</span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-7485854220811608152011-02-13T13:34:00.003-06:002011-02-13T13:45:47.282-06:00Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgljrF-JcZjwx-OIsBr9dfUGYyIn8mdh5SN6hbhuYFfxW-owlSIXVbgcflVLKaBRZrgON4mtQF_TsmE_CHs0YIbcm5ItFunm2haEG2zAHcXnp1lQnO_V59_fHBcdPGV86LQ-IL19ayrMUw/s1600/41jdXO6ZpJL.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 203px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573260289957385922" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgljrF-JcZjwx-OIsBr9dfUGYyIn8mdh5SN6hbhuYFfxW-owlSIXVbgcflVLKaBRZrgON4mtQF_TsmE_CHs0YIbcm5ItFunm2haEG2zAHcXnp1lQnO_V59_fHBcdPGV86LQ-IL19ayrMUw/s320/41jdXO6ZpJL.jpg" /></a><br /><div><span style="color:#333399;">Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink</span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#333399;">Published: August 1, 2009</span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#333399;">Publisher:ATOM</span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#333399;">Source:Bought</span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#333399;">3 out of 5 stars</span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#333399;">Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads;</span></div><div><span style="color:#3333ff;">Sixteen-year-old Lia Milthorpe and her twin sister Alice have just become orphans, and, as Lia discovers, they have also become enemies. Only then will she understand the mysterious circumstances of her parents' deaths, the true meaning of the strange mark branded on her wrist, and the lengths to which her sister will go to defeat her.</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">Review:</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">Michelle Zink is an author that knows how to do imagery. This story is one another of those stories about good and evil and angels in the mix. I liked the whole idea of the prophecy. This whole book was a good solid book. It was not the best of the books I have ever read, but the story had an original feel. I think that if you like amazing imagery, a character that you wished that wasn't evil, a little bit of the tearing up in the eyes, and a story that is fast to get through; then, this book is one for you. </span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-65013948754197897212011-02-09T22:19:00.003-06:002011-02-09T22:46:36.646-06:00Waiting on Wednesday (2)<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdu3U5fQbAlxe9VPmjRjS_bzCCAjG5nMCxrkWwy9UoODg6JLoxMnVxqupCv1MUETicH1MyKgh8YOZhJX0v7X8Jzo5y7mPzEcEqcH4HQzNu2eclJ6cz8AfmG9-43AcOaPK1IoVey74fE9o/s1600/8109130.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 213px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5571912712998274178" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdu3U5fQbAlxe9VPmjRjS_bzCCAjG5nMCxrkWwy9UoODg6JLoxMnVxqupCv1MUETicH1MyKgh8YOZhJX0v7X8Jzo5y7mPzEcEqcH4HQzNu2eclJ6cz8AfmG9-43AcOaPK1IoVey74fE9o/s320/8109130.jpg" /></a><br /><div><span style="color:#3366ff;">Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton</span></div><div><span style="color:#3366ff;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#3366ff;">Publishing date: February 22, 2011</span></div><div><span style="color:#3366ff;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#3366ff;">Publisher: Simon Pulse</span></div><div><span style="color:#3366ff;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#3366ff;">Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads;</span></div><div><span style="color:#666666;">Ari can't help feeling lost and alone. It is such a mix of so much genres that it is really mind blowing that the author did as well as she did. I just want to say that on an earlier post that I had a guess of how was killing the frozen people. Well, I just would like to say that my guess was right, and that kind of made me disappointed. Now that I remembered that I now put it 4 stars instead of 5 because I was thinking of the book afterwards, and yep so that is that. I really liked this book all around. I really felt for Elder, but I kind of didn't care for Amy that much. Amy was just kind of I don't know um I guess the word to describe her was an underlying winy (is that how you spell it?). Sorry that my review is just kind of everywhere, but yeah what can I say it is 11 P.M. right now so yep. I just have like three more things to say on this book. I kind of liked how Eldest said that Hitler was a great leader (which isn't a good thing to say, but I thought it was a kind of cliche or whatnot because Eldest thought he was a great leader too, but as we all know that he isn't at all like Hitler.). Sorry for the run on sentences. The next thing I have to say is that I liked how the author was able to hide so much of what was going on. The last thing is . . . What are you waiting for?!?! Go out and buy this book now!!! :)</span><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsCE92gJtAQLo1OXdcJkt-OHCyCSCa82_7Y5beCT0Z4xSs6gFOLft652VBkJ1Yjrlbfc8H01KW_nHN2UANjDPirRCySnN4lkMJu9-HMZ3ZYnjOh1F2e2eaCnx0TeRhmp2iGjtlPTLMjMA/s1600/8235178.jpg"></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-2996339842773972262011-02-06T16:06:00.003-06:002011-02-06T16:30:13.938-06:00Inside out by Maria V. I didn't reliaze when I was reading the book, but I am addicted to Maria's writing. I just think how the book was explained and how everything is the way it is, is just amazing. I guess that is it for this review. I am sad that I didn't put that much, but I just cannot remember that much. I do remember that I LOVED IT, so everyone just go and read it if you haven't.</span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-90483016296958620482011-01-27T18:38:00.003-06:002011-01-27T18:41:34.171-06:00Just a small update. . .Hello, everyone. I just wanted to tell you that yesterday from Simon & Suschuster *I porbally spelled that wrong, sorry, but I recieved Pathfinder by Orson Scott Card I believe sorry if that is wrong also. I will have the review of Across the Universe up sometime this weekend (oh, and I was right about who was killing people. I am just that awesome :) ) I guess that is it so toodle lool.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-45542571041035915332011-01-25T20:38:00.002-06:002011-01-25T21:20:07.968-06:00Got me so books! :)I got some money yesterday, so I bought me some books at the grocery store. I got and I was totally excited that they had it . . . was Across the Universe by Beth Revis (I was like jumping for joy there and my mother was looking at me like I was weird :) ), I only have 180 pages or so left. The book so far is really good, and I like how when people review this book they say if they thought that they thought everyone did it once or another. I just would like to say that like 20 or so pages after the person after Amy was found I have convinced myself that it is this one person (of course I won't say who until I do the review, and I will say that the next thing is going to be a spoiler or watever.) The other book I got yesterday was the first bind-up of Vampire Diaries. I just have one more thing to say then I will be done with my little update. I did finish up Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder, a really good and addicting book. Review will be up some time. I guess that is it so bye!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-56004101206348722642011-01-19T18:16:00.002-06:002011-01-19T18:31:19.160-06:00Waiting on Wednesday (1)<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-5EPCUhsQQsg_Ajc9ilLVU3FLsXj6xA1n_996PEmLji6TIb3x5cGkdm-XH6S04h3IMLPamWvqRbECvh4Xzs4Sl2k57TX5Xfglkctwv-G8yzTLlRlg0Z4nU53cmRQKe4zi2k7bnoCJ-cg/s1600/divergent"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 211px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5564055914213756978" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-5EPCUhsQQsg_Ajc9ilLVU3FLsXj6xA1n_996PEmLji6TIb3x5cGkdm-XH6S04h3IMLPamWvqRbECvh4Xzs4Sl2k57TX5Xfglkctwv-G8yzTLlRlg0Z4nU53cmRQKe4zi2k7bnoCJ-cg/s320/divergent" /></a><br /><div>*I just decided that I am going to start doing this meme (is that what you call it?).</div><div><span style="color:#333399;"><span style="font-size:130%;">*Well, Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly even hosted by </span><a href="http://breakingthespine.blogspot.com/"><span style="font-size:130%;">http://breakingthespine.blogspot.com</span></a><span style="font-size:130%;"> and it shows you what other bloggers are anticipating.</span></span></div><div><span style="color:#ff6600;">*I will try when I do this for it to be a debut novel that is going to be released within 5 months of the actual date that I write this.</span></div><div><span style="color:#990000;">~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~</span></div><div><span style="font-size:180%;color:#990000;">~Divergent by Veronica Roth</span></div><div><span style="color:#990000;">~Publishing date is May 3, 2011</span></div><div><span style="color:#990000;">~Publisher is HarperCollins / Katherine Tegen Books</span></div><div><span style="color:#990000;">~Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads:</span></div><div><span style="color:#990000;">One choice. Already off-balance due to her OCD, 16-year-old Kendall is freaked out seeing Tiffany's empty desk in the one-room school house, but somehow life goes on ... until Kendall's boyfriend Nico also disappears, and also without a trace. Now the town is in panic. Alone in her depression and with her OCD at an all-time high, Kendall notices something that connects Nico and Tiffany: they both sat at the same desk. She know it's crazy, but Kendall finds herself drawn to the desk, dreaming of Nico and wondering if maybe she, too, will disappear ... and whether that would be so bad. Then she begins recieving graffiti messages on the desk from someone who can only be Nico. Can he possibly be alive somewhere? Where is he? And how can Kendall help him? The only person who believes her is Jacian, the new guy she finds irritating ... and attractive. As Kendall and Jacian grow closer, Kendall digs deeper into Nico's mysterious disappearance only to stumble upon some ugly - and deadly - local history. Kendall is about to find out just how far the townspeople will go to keep their secrets buried.</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#663300;">Review:</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#663300;">This book is along with all of the other Lisa McMann books is really a quick read. Her books always have an interesting plot and occasionly characters. This ARC copy of this book was part of a contest that I won. This book had a really fast moving plot and such a weird ending. I like how Kendall, the main character, had OCD, but Lisa McMann writes in third point of view, so you really don't get to see into her head to see just how an OCD person feels. This story was really interesting. I liked how the ending was, but this book only got three out of five stars. It did because it was just an okay book that didn't land into a favorite catergory. I really liked (okay I just liked the uniqueness of the how the people disappeared and why), but I for some reason like books that are that creepy. If you have read it please tell me if you agree on how Nico and </span><span style="color:#663300;">Tiffany disappeared and what they did. I definately recommend to read this book (it has only around 230 pages with very large font). It only took 2 hours, and if I was reading this same book that had 200 pages added on or more with the same plot and everything I wouldn't recommend. Yep, this is my review. Thanks for reading this, and have a great day that is full of reading. </span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#ffcc00;"></span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-60179049472172296282011-01-17T17:41:00.004-06:002011-01-19T17:13:09.053-06:00Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPI3av_6u02th6AjqdVzDDcbtLEv6bJ4AZdr78QFLGAR7o3Qnf8i0cpQW27C3LxrDS47o9KOa-z01mGDmH7s4oeUDHd5i_fwT73GitvoIaGs4pZ6hYJyC-VnET_9XKuKtu7w0eBKDlhCk/s1600/7791997.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 211px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5563304602376375618" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPI3av_6u02th6AjqdVzDDcbtLEv6bJ4AZdr78QFLGAR7o3Qnf8i0cpQW27C3LxrDS47o9KOa-z01mGDmH7s4oeUDHd5i_fwT73GitvoIaGs4pZ6hYJyC-VnET_9XKuKtu7w0eBKDlhCk/s320/7791997.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Published October 19, 2010</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">5 out of 5 stars</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads;</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but atleast she got a gurdian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous gurdian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and more worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar. Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something. Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperately searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everthing - and everyone - she trusts.</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#009900;">Review:</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#009900;">This books was crazy. It was soooo good. The ending was like whatttt?!?! I am so ready to get the next book. I had no idea that who was doing everything was the one doing it. That made me like the book so much more than I already did. There was only two things that kind of made me mad that Vee basically only talked about food (I feel like the author decided that is how Vee is all about, but I felt like Vee could have been deeper or something other than a best friend that is curvy and is all about food<em> all the time</em>), and I feel when an author decides to hurt one of it's main character that they should full out and make them like on the edge of the death. (I know that is weird but that is just how it seems like it should be except that it didn't work in Twilight). This book was definately a couple of thumb ups from the last book because of all the tension and questions I had left after and during I read this one. All of you should defiantly check this book and the first one out!</span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-36958206963088210052011-01-17T17:18:00.002-06:002011-01-17T17:39:36.242-06:00What I got bookwise last week . .I told you some time like 2 or 3 weeks ago that I won a contest over at acbookjunkies. I recieved that package last Wednesday. It was awesome to get it!! I had a True Blood poster (it's up, Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel, Evernight by Claudia Gray, Cryer's Crossing by Lisa Mcmann, a book plate signed by Kami Garcia and Margret Stohl, Firelight book mark, Firelight little thing that is the size of a postcard that isn't, a Firelight little sticker, postcard signed by the author of 13 to Life, and I almost forgot the first season of Vampire Diaries. Whew, that was a lot. I told you every single thing that I got for that.<br />I also got something else this week that was totally unexpected. I got Crescendo signed by Becca Fitzpatrick that on the package outside it said media mail and that was it(weird, huh?). I was like I didn't even know or had emails or anything to let me know that I was going to get it. That was really fun to get. Yep, that is what I got last week. Sorry, that there is no pictures of it. I don't have a camera, and pictures that I can take on my phone cannot upload to the computer.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-88431202777034482242011-01-15T23:38:00.003-06:002011-01-16T00:05:33.010-06:00The Ask and The Answer<span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;">This Review probally will contain spoilers of the first book in the Chaos Walking Triology (which I have reviewed). And then one day, the bombs begin to explode. </span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#330099;">Review:</span></div><div><span style="color:#330099;">This book started just a few hours after the last one left off, and oh, I tell you that I hated or very much disliked the ending of the last book. It made me really mad. It almost made me mad enough to through the book across the room. I like how the author can unravel a few secrets and make you think that he just gave all of them away, but nope just a page later there is yet something else that he brings up (he makes you need to know everything and then some). The pace in this book was much faster than the last. I will have to say that I was suprised what the Mayor (or as he would like to call himself President) made Davy (Mayor's son if you don't know already lol) and Todd do. I kind of liked to hear Viola's point of view in this book, it added a whole new spectrum of thoughts and ideas). In the book before I really didn't care much for Davy, but in this book I kind of grown to like him. (if you read the triology please tell me i you liked Davy as much as I do and I want to find out about him *I am really dieing to be a spoiler person) I guess that is my review loved this book as much as the first. The only reason I gave it 4 was because I remember not liking something(I can't remeber due to the fact it is late and I am about 200 pages in on "The Monsters of Men".</span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span> </div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-69466489280751194952011-01-15T13:13:00.005-06:002011-01-15T14:06:20.133-06:00Sorry for taking forever to get this up!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5ULnx_0n8Jo55qjpqzPkt081LGWOHsQvpd7DvvvB68noGybd5OW4VgfGBQasrsoxowWyw6xwtv5iSraH-S4-PMj3FEI88CeeapndDnZKQ9p8O0OPxTp3Wqszlo69Dez76CDuxlhUyC5c/s1600/untitled.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 198px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562493977961835490" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5ULnx_0n8Jo55qjpqzPkt081LGWOHsQvpd7DvvvB68noGybd5OW4VgfGBQasrsoxowWyw6xwtv5iSraH-S4-PMj3FEI88CeeapndDnZKQ9p8O0OPxTp3Wqszlo69Dez76CDuxlhUyC5c/s320/untitled.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Wow, today is Saturday! It was the kind of the book that is great but just takes a while to get used to the way Patrick Ness writes and how the words are spelled. I was captured completely with everything that happened. It had some many secrets and turns that I was like it was my head was spinning. I recommend this book to anyone because it is awesome. I just want to say that I LOVE Todd. (I know, I know I say that I love like every main character that is boy, but hey most of them are just plain awesome and loveable) This is an awesome edition to my bookshelves, and on my top 10 of distopian novels. I had tests everday except Monday because we were off, I had to run the mile in gym :( , and it has just been a busy week in general. I did get some more books Friday night from McKays which is this place in Tennessee that sells books, records, Cds, movies, audio books, and video games all is used but most of the time all the stuff is and looks pretty new and unused. My family and I gave away some books for in store credit, and we ended up with $58 credit. Anyways, I got three books Gurdian of the Gate by Michelle Zink, Little Brother by Cory Doctorow, and Incarceon by Catherine Fisher (I believe that is how you spell all of their names and stuff because I am doing this by memory). I finished yesterday the Knife of Never Letting Go it was phenominial. I'll have the review up some time this week. I started to read The Ask and the Answer and the Maze Runner. I have decided that I am going to start a new 100 book challenge, so it can start closer to the new year. I count the Knife of Never Letting go as my first. That is it, happy reading!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-20939745081564287482011-01-04T16:58:00.002-06:002011-01-04T17:02:34.969-06:00netGalley!!I joined netGalley two days ago. I was really excited when I heard that it was all not released books, and I was like maybe The Iron Queen is on there, and it was so I requested to read it. They said yes, so I just did download it on my Nook. I cannot wait to start reading it, and when I do finish I will put a review of it up. Yep, that is it. I just had to tell you.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-68729544832573869172011-01-02T22:21:00.003-06:002011-01-02T22:53:11.562-06:00The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5eRhJp6azx9nCFXMdt2hgbWYpy-QUwEYR3oKPcva32tCiYDGj15s-NLXSeyPs2Lkp17V_mTjX52W8TgDJ-xEjVNys7kXXOuG6_9sOKxT0DfrXhfvKu8NVY7rRvlmSt6R6r9JW9QE-b1Y/s1600/7747064.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 206px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557810317520072498" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5eRhJp6azx9nCFXMdt2hgbWYpy-QUwEYR3oKPcva32tCiYDGj15s-NLXSeyPs2Lkp17V_mTjX52W8TgDJ-xEjVNys7kXXOuG6_9sOKxT0DfrXhfvKu8NVY7rRvlmSt6R6r9JW9QE-b1Y/s320/7747064.jpg" /></a><br /><div><span style="color:#333399;">The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa</span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;">5 out of 5 stars!!!</span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;">Published:August 1, 2010</span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;">30th book for 100 book challenge </span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#333399;">Synopsis (courtesy of Goodreads):</span></div><div><span style="color:#6633ff;">Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey - ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.</span></div><div><span style="color:#6633ff;">Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help</span><span style="color:#663366;">. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart</span><span style="color:#000099;">.</span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;">This book I have been wanting to read since I read the first. I have just recently been dieing to read it because of cheezy feets teaser of it and review (sorry if I spelled it wrong, I stink at spelling). I was super excited when I started to read this book. Thank goodness I am on break from school because I couldn't stop reading it, and that resulted in me not going to sleep till 3 in the morning (I still wasn't finished and that made me cranky :) ).This book was not a disappointment at all. I was so glad that it ended like it did. I kind think that Sage could have been an awesome character if he would have lived, I wish that he did live. I absolutely loved Ash, he was the my ideal knight and shining armor (well, second two Jace). This book was just awesome overall; the character were all strong and well-defined (I guess that is how you put it), the plot was really good (it was never slow at all), and um the (couldn't think of anything else. oh well, I thought that it would be nice to add a third thing too, and this is all I could think of) cover of the book WAS FANTABOLOUS. (is that how you spell a mixture of fantastic and fabulous). </span></div><div><span style="color:#ff9900;">That is my review on this excellent book. I just did notice that I use a lot of these things ( ). That is okay though, it is just how I show my extra thoughts. Thanks for reading this. I believe you should expect lots more of reviews to come I have to get to reading to reach my goal of 100 books. :D</span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-70746247229770802942010-12-31T00:38:00.008-06:002011-01-02T22:18:57.674-06:00Bought some books!!! A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks. A Gatlin where a curse has marked Lena's family of poweful Supernaturals for generations. A Gatlin where impossible, magical, life-altering events happen.</span></div><div></div><div><span style="color:#6600cc;">Sometimes life-ending.</span></div><div></div><div><span style="color:#6600cc;">Together they can face anything Gatlin throws at them, but after suffering a tragic loss, Lena starts to pull away, keeping secrets that test their relationship. Haunted by strange visions only he can see, Ethan is pulled deeper into his town's tangled history and finds himself caught up in the dangerous network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, where nothing is as it seems.</span></div><div></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">Review:</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">Wow! What to say? What to say?? Before, I started to read this awesome book I read some reviews. A lot of people said that it was an up for Ethan and a down for Lena. Which I kind of agree (well barely). People also said that Lena was annoying in this book. I have a few things to say about those two things that I saw in a ton of reviews that I saw. Lena didn't really seem annoying till around page 300. Even then she didn't really get on my nerves. I guess to me it seemed like when they explained why she was annoying that it kind of just washed all of annoyance at Lena disapper. On the thing about this book was an up for Ethan, I agreed full-heartedly that it was a major improvement on his part. On the Lena it was a down in this book, it was something I really couldn't decide if it was an up or a down because she just wasn't there. </span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">I think that this book was just really awesome. I think that everything that happened just kind of seemed like it should. I believe that only one thing got on my nerves, is the thing about the moons getting kind of old. I mean it isn't yet, but if they put 18 moons song or whatever it is into the next book it really is going to get on my last nerve. I believe that is about all. </span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">-Plot:Awesome</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">-Characters:Fantastic (especially Ethan and Macon)</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">-Anything and Everthing else:totally made me speechless and awe-struck (this book makes me wish I was as brilliant author as Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.)</span></div><div><span style="color:#6600cc;"></span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-66117193304782058202010-12-26T16:00:00.002-06:002010-12-26T16:09:38.397-06:00Nothing I can think of to describe this post with a title.Wow, this Christmas has to be probally the best for me getting books. If you can hang on to what I got for Christmas book wise, I am going to say something else. I signed up for the December contest at <a href="http://www.acbookjunkies@blogspot.com">www.acbookjunkies@blogspot.com</a> . . . They have been hinting and hinting about how it is just so incredible. Yesterday, this contest ended, but I kind of forgot since Christmas was here. Today I decided to check my email, and there it was an email from them saying I won. I was so excited!! I just have to say go check out there blog. I will now go on to what I got for Christmas since I got out my excitedness out. I got Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margret Stohl, Torment by Lauren Kate, the whole trilogy of Chaos Walking, and Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead. That was all my real books, but I got a Nook and a $30 giftcard for it (I bought so far Hunger by Michael Grant and Zombies vs. Unicorns.) I have a $50 from giftcards for anywhere. I made a deal with my mom. I spend 25 of it for a new bookshelf and the rest for books.<br />That is it. Hope you had an awesome Christmas and a happy new year to come.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-76103569978547555062010-12-23T23:01:00.002-06:002010-12-23T23:19:08.645-06:00Early Christmas!!I have nothing better to do right now since my sister is playing her new Michael Jackson Wii game. Today we went with our aunt to Chuck E. Cheese with her kids. My aunt said afterwards that we had a little something under the tree for us, but that she would let us pick out something else. I got a book, of course. It was (drum roll please) Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead. I unfortunaly won't be able to read it until I read Spirit Bound, and that stinks but I will speed read. I also got to open some presents from my parents tonight. I got one book from them. It was Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. That was it except for some pajama pants from Old Navy and an Aeropostale shirt.<br /><br /><br />For those who don't want to read throught my entire paragraph to see what I got so far I will make a list. (I for one don't blame those people :) )<br />1. Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead<br />2.Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl<br />3. I have to say that I have read better, but it had cute characters and a good story line. On this book I just don't have a lot to say. The end was kind of confusing. I was like is the Sphinx a bad guy or what? I was also like who was that dude in the quiet box? I know that is sort of spoilers but still it really isn't in a way. I guess I recommend this book to people who like kind of the protect the mythical creauture thing. Oh, a little side note I loved Warren, and yes, I will continue on with the series as you can see from what I am currently reading.</span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060871355859199444.post-71185159815572652002010-12-17T21:13:00.004-06:002010-12-17T22:06:38.237-06:00Gone by Michael Grant<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmjdl_Ng8p9ojm0mh8wagH6H3nc0oiK_Us2Ap36cusuSTm0TpRgs8XimR1JzbnFLfaKAEhIkYLiJoTLpH6zIhvlUeTmqENhyc4M6-dORTeiLRb8V0GLWy6TprNBxeuaGQsbQohokL-pzQ/s1600/2536134.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 158px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 187px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5551855558469781970" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmjdl_Ng8p9ojm0mh8wagH6H3nc0oiK_Us2Ap36cusuSTm0TpRgs8XimR1JzbnFLfaKAEhIkYLiJoTLpH6zIhvlUeTmqENhyc4M6-dORTeiLRb8V0GLWy6TprNBxeuaGQsbQohokL-pzQ/s320/2536134.jpg" /></a><br /><div><span style="color:#009900;">Gone by Michael Grant</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">Published July 1, 2008</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">5 out of 5 stars</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads:</span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#009900;">In the blink of an eye.
