Bought some books!!! Yay!!

They are (cue the drumroll) . . . . .

*The Maze Runner by James Dashner
*Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink
*The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa (had to get it because of Cheezyfeet Book's blog)
Yep, that is what I got, and I pretty happy with it.
-I was going to put the pictures of all the other books too, but I couldn't get the pictures to go the way I wanted it to.
-Just one more thing, if you do see this blog don't be afraid to become a follower of it because I would be so appreciate it.
*I have also thought that once I get 200 hundred followers or so (which I am sure it will happen someday -I am a true believer of this blog :) - along with all the others that I have followed) I will ask my mom if I can do a contest only for the US sorry people from other countries I just am a person who has the occasional allowance and get money from Christmas and birthdays.
~I guess I am finially finished rambling so merry book blogging to all and to all a good night :D

Beautiful Darknessby Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Published October 12, 2010
5 out of 5 stars
Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads:
Ethan Wate used to think of Gatlin, the small Southern town he had always called home, as a place where nothing ever changed.
Then he met mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes, who revealed a secret that had been hidden in plain sight all along. A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks. A Gatlin where a curse has marked Lena's family of poweful Supernaturals for generations. A Gatlin where impossible, magical, life-altering events happen.
Sometimes life-ending.
Together they can face anything Gatlin throws at them, but after suffering a tragic loss, Lena starts to pull away, keeping secrets that test their relationship. And now that Ethan's eyes have been opened to the darker side of Gatlin, there's no going back. Haunted by strange visions only he can see, Ethan is pulled deeper into his town's tangled history and finds himself caught up in the dangerous network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, where nothing is as it seems.
Wow! What to say? What to say?? Before, I started to read this awesome book I read some reviews. A lot of people said that it was an up for Ethan and a down for Lena. Which I kind of agree (well barely). People also said that Lena was annoying in this book. I have a few things to say about those two things that I saw in a ton of reviews that I saw. Lena didn't really seem annoying till around page 300. Even then she didn't really get on my nerves. I guess to me it seemed like when they explained why she was annoying that it kind of just washed all of annoyance at Lena disapper. On the thing about this book was an up for Ethan, I agreed full-heartedly that it was a major improvement on his part. On the Lena it was a down in this book, it was something I really couldn't decide if it was an up or a down because she just wasn't there.
I think that this book was just really awesome. I think that everything that happened just kind of seemed like it should. I believe that only one thing got on my nerves, is the thing about the moons getting kind of old. I mean it isn't yet, but if they put 18 moons song or whatever it is into the next book it really is going to get on my last nerve. I believe that is about all.
-Characters:Fantastic (especially Ethan and Macon)
-Anything and Everthing else:totally made me speechless and awe-struck (this book makes me wish I was as brilliant author as Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.)

Nothing I can think of to describe this post with a title.

Wow, this Christmas has to be probally the best for me getting books. If you can hang on to what I got for Christmas book wise, I am going to say something else. I signed up for the December contest at . . . They have been hinting and hinting about how it is just so incredible. Yesterday, this contest ended, but I kind of forgot since Christmas was here. Today I decided to check my email, and there it was an email from them saying I won. I was so excited!! I just have to say go check out there blog. I will now go on to what I got for Christmas since I got out my excitedness out. I got Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margret Stohl, Torment by Lauren Kate, the whole trilogy of Chaos Walking, and Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead. That was all my real books, but I got a Nook and a $30 giftcard for it (I bought so far Hunger by Michael Grant and Zombies vs. Unicorns.) I have a $50 from giftcards for anywhere. I made a deal with my mom. I spend 25 of it for a new bookshelf and the rest for books.
That is it. Hope you had an awesome Christmas and a happy new year to come.

Early Christmas!!

I have nothing better to do right now since my sister is playing her new Michael Jackson Wii game. Today we went with our aunt to Chuck E. Cheese with her kids. My aunt said afterwards that we had a little something under the tree for us, but that she would let us pick out something else. I got a book, of course. It was (drum roll please) Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead. I unfortunaly won't be able to read it until I read Spirit Bound, and that stinks but I will speed read. I also got to open some presents from my parents tonight. I got one book from them. It was Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. That was it except for some pajama pants from Old Navy and an Aeropostale shirt.

For those who don't want to read throught my entire paragraph to see what I got so far I will make a list. (I for one don't blame those people :) )
1. Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead
2.Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
3. PJ pants from Old Navy
4.shirt from Aeropostale

The Rise of the Evening Star by Brandon Mull

The Rise of the Evening Star by Brandon Mull

Published June 30, 2007

4 out of 5 stars

Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads

At the end of the school year, Kendra and her brother Seth find themselves racing back to Fablehaven, a refuge for mythical and magical
creatures. Grandpa Sorenson, the caretaker, invites three specialists - a
potion master, a magical relics collector, and a mystical creature trapper - to
help protect the property from the Society of the Evening Star, an ancient
organization determined to infiltrate the preserve and steal a hidden artifact
of great power. Time is running out. The Evening Star is storming the gates.
If the artifact falls into the wrong hands, it could mean the downfalls of other
preserves and possibly the world. Will Kendra learn to use her fairy gifts in
time? Will Seth stay out of trouble?

Okay, now on to the review. This book was an okay book with a pretty good story. I have to say that I have read better, but it had cute characters and a good story line. On this book I just don't have a lot to say. The end was kind of confusing. I was like is the Sphinx a bad guy or what? I was also like who was that dude in the quiet box? I know that is sort of spoilers but still it really isn't in a way. I guess I recommend this book to people who like kind of the protect the mythical creauture thing. Oh, a little side note I loved Warren, and yes, I will continue on with the series as you can see from what I am currently reading.

Gone by Michael Grant

Gone by Michael Grant
Published July 1, 2008
5 out of 5 stars
Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads:
In the blink of an eye. Everyone disappers. GONE.
Except for the young. Teens. Middle schoolers. Toddlers. But not
adult. No teachers, no cops, no doctors, no parents. Just as
suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no televison. No way
to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened.
Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks.
Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing,
developing new talents - unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers -
that grow stronger by the day.
It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is
shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak.
Powerful against powerless. And time is running out: On your
birthday, you disappear just like everyone else.
This book had everything that I think that a great book should
have. It had some witty lines, a real hero, a crazy bad guy that is
out for blood, and an evil maniac that can take over a city. I loved
Sam. I mean who wouldn't he is a hero. I tried as the book moved
on to try and predict what would happen but for some reason
my guesses never came close to what actually happened. The book
had an awesome story and just plain awesome. I guess you could
say I was blown away with this book. I cannot wait till get the next
I just want to say thanks to my first subscriber, so thank
you lots. I have now read 28 books for my 100 book challenge.
Hehe. Thanks!!!!!!
that is it

Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld

Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld

Published October 6, 2009
3 out of 5
Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads:
Prince Aleksander, would-be heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, is on the run. His
own people have turned on him. His title is worthless. All he has is a battletorn war
machine and a loyal crew of men.
Deryn Sharp is a commoner, disguised as a boy in the British Air Service. She's a
brilliant airman. But her secret is in constant danger of being discovered.
With World War 1 brewing, Alek and Deryn's paths cross in the most unexpected way
taking them on a fantastical, around-the-world adventure that will change both their
lives forever.
This book had characters that I thought didn't match their age. I think they acted much younger than they should have. This book for me was overall a good book. It had a bit of adventure just enough to keep me interested along with the many secrets there was. I know I put 3 out of 5, but I for some reason don't put halves on my ratings I have on top. This book I believe has deserved 3 and a half stars out of 5. I very much enjoyed the book at the end and do intend on reading the next one, but I have to say that after I finished the book I looked back on me reading the book and had to admit that not much happened in the book. To finish, I do recommend this book.

Just Sayin'

Hello the few people that happen to look upon my tiny blog. I would like to say Ifailed at my mission of finishing Leviathan today. I will as it so happens to finish it this weekend, and I hopefully will finish Gone by Michael Grant and Vampire Academy. I will say this you can expect reviews of them up soon and a book haul sometime this weekend or Monday because my mom said Christmas with my uncle, his wife, and their kids will be this weekend. I do hope that the small amount of people viewing this blog will be oh so kind and be a follower I would be so thrilled if that did happen. I guess that is it for at least today unless I can finish a book tonight then I will do a review. I now wish you a goodnight and thanks for looking at my blog.

Update on what I am reading right now!!

Hello people!!! I am reading Pride and Prejudice or however you spell it, Gone by Michael Grant, Vampire Academy, and Leviathan by Scott Westerfield. I have been trying today and yesterday to put a cool picture or something that I made for the title of my blog, but it wouldn't work!! If you know how to please post a comment. I also tried to find a widget or something to put what I am reading at the moment, but that wouldn't let me find out how to do it either.
I want to move on and say that I wish that I had people that followed my blog, but I understand that why nobody is following it. I haven't been posting that much and haven't done this for a long time. I will; however, try to change the zero followers to at least one by posting on other walls. I guess that is it for this post. If I do finish Leviathan I will post a review of that on here.

Crusade by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie

Crusade by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie

Release date: September 7, 2010

4 out of 5 stars!!

Synopsis courtesy of Goodreads:

For the past two years, Jenn has lived and trained at Spain's
Sacred Heart Academy Against the Cursed Ones. She is among the few who have pledged to defend humanity or die trying. But the vampires are gaining power, and the battle has only just begun.
Forced to return home after death takes a member of her family,
Jenn discovers that San Francisco is now a vampire strong-hold. As
a lone hunter apart from her team, Jenn is isolated - and at risk. She
craves the company of her fighting partner, Antonio: his protection,
his reassurance, his touch. But a relationship with Antonio comes
with its own dangers, and the more they share of themselves, the
more Jenn stands to lose.
Then Jenn is betrayed by one who was once bound to protect her,
causing her to doubt all she had held as true. To survive, Jenn must
find the courage to trust herself - and her heart.
To start off, this book was just staring me down in the bookstore. I forgot that those two fantastic authors were coming out with yet another book. I think that their Wicked series was good, so I was like why not and lets try it out. This book in my opinion was a huge letdown at the end. I will try not to spoil for those who haven't read it yet. When I flipped to the back of the book when I first got it I saw the line in italics because I am special. This for me was like okay good this book has real vampires and the main character had something special about her. I was determined to find out how and why she was special. At the end when I found out why I was super disappointed the explaination it had was really dumb and not that much fun to think about. That is why this book got a four and not a five. Jenn and Antonio really didn't catch my attention all that much, but Aurora and Jamie they certainly did.
Oh, if you want to read this book go right ahead. It is certainly entertaining, but if you are looking for a book that makes you think about it afterwards don't get it.
25th book read on my 100 book challenge!!

Need to Update

I really need to start actually doing my book blog, and I do actually want to do this and me making this blog is proof. I am or was just not motivated. I am now though. This last blog post I made was in July. My sister and I quit that challenge, but I have started yet another. Tommorow I will all the books I have read for the challenge that started September 9, 2010. I would also like to share old news. On my Goodreads account (you can find that I have reviewed some books and some of the books I own. if you want become my friend just look for Hailey Lampley) ok moving on to my news, I won a book which is Father and Sons by Steven Novak. I have read 30 or 40 pages of it so far. I know, I know it should be finished right now, but I have been so busy from school and all the books that I plan to read before I start reading that full time.
The books I am reading right now are Crusade by Nancy Holder and Debbie (however you spell her last name), Pride and Prejuidce, Gone by Michael Grant, Perfect Chemistry, Father and Sons, and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Lots of books at one time, yep that is just how I roll.
Well, I guess that is it for now. Bye!!!

Review for Keys to the Repository by Melissa De La Cruz

This books was an excellent source for information for the Blue Bloods series. I gave 4 and a half out of 5. I would give it a 5 if it was an actually book. I liked it a lot it had a lot of future books to come from her. I read this a long time ago like 3 or 4 months ago, so yep this is just a post that I was going to put up but had to stop for some reason. Yeah, for some reason I just decided to post this.
